Chhattisgarh Entrepreneurship Development Centre

To ensure sustainability and to strengthen entrepreneurship development initiatives in Chhattisgarh, the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII- www.ediindia.org ), Ahmedabad, set up a dedicated Centre in Chhattisgarh to make a noticeable impact on the growth of entrepreneurship in the state. “Chhattisgarh Entrepreneurship Development Centre” is the joint Initiative of Department of Commerce and Industries, Govt. of Chhattisgarh and Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India.

The center, dedicated exclusively to entrepreneurship development, aims to identify and nurture entrepreneurial potential, fostering the creation of new ventures and supporting the growth of existing ones. By addressing the aspirations of youth and individuals hesitant to pursue entrepreneurial careers due to barriers such as information asymmetry, knowledge gaps, limited access to funding, or fear of failure, the center seeks to bridge critical gaps. Through targeted, application-driven initiatives, it can instill the spirit of entrepreneurship early on, inspiring youth and the broader community to view self-employment and entrepreneurship as viable and desirable career paths. Evidence shows that a strategic blend of counselling and training can significantly enhance the performance and sustainability of existing enterprises.
